Good luck with your YouTube channel, Joshua, I'll definitely be taking a look. I'm actively trying to throttle back on the amount of YouTube I consume as, for me, there is way too much 'gear influencer' content masquerading as photography 'advice'.
I really like your comment on 'Top Tens'. I understand the need to grow an audience (particularly when YT is intended to be an income stream) but clickbait - whether overt or even partially concealed - results in me unfollowing the channel. Quite a few have bit the dust in the last couple of weeks and more will follow.
Gear is interesting when the YouTuber discovers a real 'hidden gem' of advice which isn't in the user manual. I may be wrong but I suspect that those of us who have been taking photographs for many years are looking more for inspiration and insightful / original thought more than the 'best' lens to use for street photography!
Thanks Paul. I’m really going to do my best to create something unique and keep it authentic to who I am. Like I said I’m not in the business of trying to sell people the “Best” of anything, I truly just want to share my adventure in this craft I love and in doing so I hope I can either inspire or help others in whatever way I can.
Thanks for watching and as always thank you for the feedback.
